What does an alien and a plastic surgeon have in common? Not much, unless you’re this guy. You’d be forgiven for thinking he’s wearing a costume and special effects makeup because of how extreme his transformation is. We’ve all heard about botched-up plastic surgeries and seen the pictures and documentaries. But. for Anthony Loffredo, he wanted to look this way, And now he’s paying the price with his health.
Anthony Loffredo is a 32-year-old Frenchman with an obsession with body modification. He’s also documented his entire transformation into the person he calls the “black alien.” Anthony has done all sorts of things to his body, including tattooing his eyeballs, splitting his tongue, and covering his body in ink. He has plenty of piercings and dermal implants, too. He’s also had his ears cut off to help look more extra-terrestrial. His entire facial structure looks nothing like the man he once was – and the self-proclaimed alien says he’s not done yet. He plans on modifying his arms, legs, fingers, and the back of his head when he can.
More recently, though, Anthony had to travel to have a rather peculiar surgery done. Because it was illegal in France, Anthony flew to Spain to have his lip and nose surgically removed from his face. [1] He told his Instagram following how happy he was after the surgery; “Like in a dream… I live this dream… Thank you to you, @oscarmarquezbodymod you will have marked my life… now I can walk with my head high thanks to you, I am proud of what we did together.”
The funny thing is, during an Instagram live video, he also let his followers know about the struggles he’s been facing post-op. Yet, this is hardly a barrier to the rest of his body modification plans. Anthony says he can’t speak properly after having his lip removed, but he can’t wait to change his body again.[2] The surgery Anthony underwent is called a rhinotomy. This, in other words, is a nose amputation.
