On Thursday, Esther Jenner, the mother of Caitlyn Jenner, who won a gold medal at the Olympics and was a previous celebrity on the show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, passed away. She lived to be 96.

Caitlyn broke the news in a post on one of her social media platforms, which also included a slideshow of joyful photographs of the couple from over the last several years.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that my mother passed away early yesterday morning. She went away gently. Caitlyn noted in her journal that “the experience of losing a mother is unique in the sense that she is the only person who has loved me throughout my entire life.” “I am going to miss her in a significant way. She had a rich life and passed away just a few weeks short of being 97 years old. Love you Mum.”

Esther had a guest appearance on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in 2013. She then starred with Caitlyn in the television docuseries I Am Cait and, most recently, in 2021’s Untold: Caitlyn Jenner. Esther’s first appearance on the show was in 2013.

After Caitlyn revealed her new identity on the cover of Vanity Fair in 2015, Esther spoke with the New York Daily News about their efforts to ensure that Caitlyn is addressed with the appropriate pronouns and name for the duration of her transition.

“Give some thought to it. When it comes to breaking habits, may be a challenging task. However, I will succeed in doing so,” Ester said to the New York Daily News. “I care deeply for him. It makes no difference whether he dresses in a manner more typical of a guy or a girl. I don’t care what it takes as long as it brings him joy; that’s all that matters to me.

Ester continued by expressing her pride in her offspring, saying, “Caitlyn has handled this situation in a very respectable and respectful manner.” She has expressed her feelings honestly in her words. My kid has earned my utmost respect and adoration in every way.

Before their divorce in 2014, Caitlyn Jenner was formerly married to Kris Jenner. The couple divorced in 2014. Today, the exes claim that they keep up a friendly connection, although Caitlyn stated the previous year that her parenting style varies depending on which of her 10 children she is caring for.

When you have ten children, it is inevitable that your connections with each of them will be distinct from one another. Kendall and Kylie Jenner are my flesh and blood, so it goes without saying that I have a very strong relationship with each of them. Caitlyn revealed this information during an interview on the podcast Full Send. She said, “On the Kardashian side, I see them here and there, but we’re not really close.” “Kim is most likely the one who is the closest. My other half, the rest of my children, both of my boys, Brandon and Burt, and the rest of the gang are all there.
